It looks like a repeat of JR's position late last year after he lost two semi-finals plus endured some really crap results "into the bargain" and we were debating the same issues. I just wish he was more adaptable to changing situations - a "learning manager". He doesn't appear to have mellowed in that respect which is really disappointing TBH. I wanted rid of him last year as I didn't see us having any chance of winning a trophy under his stewardship. That view hasn't really altered at all. But he got the "thumbs up" because he had that "steady Eddie" approach and managed to "steady the ship" at that critical point when Hibs were either gonna drift away or "push on". I think the lack of any Hibs fans at matches helped his cause at that time as well as the Dons' stuttering season that Hibs eventually took advantage of although they still had their stuttering moments too. One additional opinion I will say is the fact that the Mathie transfer f### up in August didn't help things at all. How significant an effect was it??? I dunno! It didn't help one jot and it was a pity that Hibs didn't conduct a seamless transfer exercise with all concerned accommodated and happy to move on or come in to bolster Hibs squad. All was bliss until the injuries (plus suspension) started to pile up after Ibronx. Time to find an accountable and settled line up from a manager who needs to "earn his corn" now.
