Twenty-four hours more for anyone still anagram-solving. A few clues:
7 is an Albion all-time legend, and 6 was one of his teammates.
11 was never actually our player, but is a recent name and a popular one at that. No excuses for not getting it.
15 was a cup-winning outside-left. First name is sharp as a knife, and he might even use it to cut his surname.
19 was a Fifties favourite, doing ball tricks a long time before Maradona made it cool.
23 is a relatively recent defender; maybe somewhat forgotten now, but was a regular on the team-sheet for a couple of seasons.
The remainder are quite far back in the mists of time, to the extent that clues would be useless. Though 29 probably enjoyed a good humbug.

"I would rather spend a holiday in Tuscany than in the Black Country, but if I were compelled to choose between living in West Bromwich or Florence, I should make straight for West Bromwich." - J.B. Priestley
