Only times I've been to Italy were on business and I got as far as Turin and Milan.
I tell a lie, I had a day trip across the Adriatic to Venice from Poreč back in the 90's (I think) when everything on that side was still Yugoslavia.
Closer to San Marino than I am now but still not close enough.
They sell some better versions of Birra Moretti over there than the fizzy water we get here, but the red wines are even better. Great for washing down the pasta.
A quick look on WIKI throws up some tasty looking morsels you might want to get your teeth stuck into.
