Opinions eh
0762, When was the last time Sunshine on Leith was sung during a game in big numbers to inspire the team.........never, because the fans cannot sing it without the record being played . A few occasionally try to start it but it soon peters out. I didn't deride it.....I said it was slow.....that in itself doesn't make it a "bad" song"!!!!!
Just because they are one of the few clubs to twirl scarfs (in this country anyway)...... is that wrong? When did you last see Hibs scarfs held aloft during a game at ER.......I cannot remember and even the other week when S on L was played twice very few raised their scarfs.
Don't get me wrong I love the song and have seen the Proclaimers many times, always sing it and raise my scarf but the only time it is impressive is when we have just had a major victory, 2016 Cup Final as you say. There is a difference between this and being able to give a rendition of a song during a game to inspire the team Fortunately we have a few others of these and agree, more the Hearts.
As for Inverurie Jambo, if he stays within the rules of the forum we should encourage other users onto the forum and try to increase the numbers ( there are precious few) and just because he supports a team that are our rivals should not be a reason to deride him. Obviously if things go beyond banter from anyone, I will step in.
Oh, and he did "like" #17
