Actually a very good game to raise the curtain on the domestic season, probably better than anything Man City and Leicester will dish up tomorrow. That may well prove a valuable point come season's end, although it looked like our disallowed goal should have stood, so there are probably grounds for feeling hard done by at the same time. Still look worryingly suspect in defence, but winning the ball high up the pitch and launching fast, clinical counters is refreshing to see from an Albion side, and will hopefully pay dividends going forward.
Fantastic to see and hear fans in attendance again, and even though it might have ridden to our rescue on that chalked-off goal, it's equally fantastic to celebrate a goal the second it hits the back of the net without VAR hanging overhead like a stormcloud no one asked for. I've missed the Championship so much.
