You are spot on with the subs MS, said on the match thread that it was a surpise taking Maghoma off when the change in formation had seen him being much more effective!!! The subs basically took us back to 442 and the system that hadn't worked in the first half and took all the momentum away from us after starting the 2nd half much better. Naive tactice by SG!!!
SG had plenty of excuses & he made sure in his post match interviews that he used them all. He had a point regarding the disallowed May goal but his argument was poor regarding the Hutchinson red card. Clearly he was deflecting attention away from his poor choice of formation, his substitutions & motivation of the players.
