Wasn't that long ago, but watching the tv coverage you'd think the last game was when Gazza scored.

Mate, the way they were talking about Italy last night you would think they were plucky underdogs here to take on the big boys. They are the xxxx big boys   Then he went on about how they were lucky to play every game at home, without even a hint of irony.

The delusion of the English media knows no bounds. Italy have been to 9 finals and won 5 of them, they are way more successful at this level than England.

The Gazza goal was in the game the last time we played each other in a major tournament wasn't it? I assume that is why they will be showing it. Its definitely a goal I can watch over and over again!!

I don't get the wall to wall coverage like you guys do but from what I saw going into this tournament everyone seemed to be talking about the clear favorites being France and Belgium, while Italy should never be classed as plucky underdogs was there any real thought that they might win the whole thing? I think all the teams playing home games have an advantage, but it won't always work that way. Not sure I like the way its being played with some teams playing in their home stadium but with Covid still around it makes some sense and its been great to have fans, and more importantly real fan noise, at all the games!!

Well said Wakey! It just confirms why the majority of people in the likes of Liverpool hate The Scum with a passion and for obvious reasons!!

I don't know anyone who likes the Sun, I am always amazed it is still high up the circulation charts!! But then again I don't know anyone aside from my parents who regularly buy a newspaper these days.
