He was over 18 when he made those tweets so was an adult at the time and should have known better. The tweets are terrible and he deserves the negative attention that it has brought onto him. With that being said it was 8 years ago and the punishment does seem to be severe.

I also have no time for his statement because he has to come out and apologise whether he means it or not.
