Whips are still made at the former Mackintosh's (now Nestlé) factory in Halifax. My mates missus (or rather, his boss at 'ome) was in charge of that section until recently on one of the shifts. Then they made her a fabulous redundancy/early retirement package offer last year and she bit their walnuts off.
