The Empire started to crumble under Dean Hoyle, yes he got ill and that left us with nobody to run the club. Now Dean can’t be blamed for getting ill but he can be blamed for having a weak board. Sean Jarvis did his best but at the end of the day he was just a glorified salesman. Ann Hough, admin and then nobody. If Dean was the captain of the ship then we had no vice captain to step up when needed.
Dean then chose to sell to Phil. Why did he choose Phil? Well it would seem he would offer Dean the best deal to get his money back, money that Dean had already written off and never expected to see again. He’s shafted the club good and proper and before anyone says that’s a knee jerk reaction to what’s going on now that opinion was expressed back in 2019 at home game with my mate who I’ve been watching Town with since arriving at the new stadium. It was also his opinion.
As much as I’d like to blame Dean for everything Phil has to stand up and take the blame in equal measure. He stood in front of a crowd at the odeon being all billy big bollocks, where’s all the tough questions being a smart arse. Well Phil questions are being fired at you from all over the place right now. You’ve done a 180 on the club finances and are now crying the poor tale.
1. We didn’t take the FA cup seriously, missing out on possible price/tv money
2. The club turned down Shirt sponsorship because it didn’t meet your valuation only for us now to offer a glorified meat raffle for it.
3. We are that skint you fired the coach you paid big money to get last season, during the pandemic as well. Then half the back room staff followed them out the door.
