A much improved performance saw us take all 3 points v Preston. We reverted to a back 3 and defended fairly well through the whole match. Not too many chances in the first half but it was us who managed to put the ball in the net and from a very unexpected source as Liam Palmer popped up in the box and scored for the first time in 9 years!! Onto the 2nd half and Preston had more of the play but we continued to defend well and Westwood had little to do as we collected 3 valuable points.

Next up and a trip to the south coast to take on promotion chasing Bournemouth. The Cherries started the season well but lost there first game to us of all teams. They have some good players like King, Solanke & Brooks and are now managed by Jason Tindall who was amongst the backroom staff when Eddie Howe was in charge. They currently lie 6th but have lost there last 3 games so will want to get back on the winning trail asap, lucky they are playing us then
