We regularly get posters criticising him but one thing is certain, we look a better side with him in it. One or two have turned on May but again, his movement adds so much to the team. Maybe their goal tallies are a little low but we are starting to look like a team from back to front.
The matches can't come quickly enough now. That is a mark of our progress over the last few months.
THIS is spot on. Nuhiu had a rough time these past few months but never stopped trying and the team benefited. He got a couple of goals in the past couple of weeks and he looks to have got his early season form back. He was unlucky yesterday to have 2 attempts save off the line (one resulted in Lee's goal, the other no one was around to follow up)
May is in a similar situation to the Nuhiu of a month ago, summed up by the absolute sitter he put 4 yards wide when he was inside the 6yard box. One goal and his confidence will rocket again and we'll have 2 strikers scoring/creating goals consistently.
One of the beauties is that we don't need our strikers to be scoring in volumes. It would be great but they are both contributing to a side that is getting mentally tougher week by week.
One of the other aspects that is good is that we are sharing the goals around. Lee & Maguire both chipped in yesterday & with a smidgeon of luck, Maghoma could have had three. This means that the opposition have more potential scorers to worry about, which might give Nuhui & May more space.
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
