Read my previous threads re Jack Ross please!! Also watch for Ross Co's next few results v other opponents and gauge how good they actually are or how bad Hibs actually were last night.
As an aside, I watch a lotta Aston Villa's matches on Sky and BT Sport and like to see how John McGinn plays in their games. He picked up the MOTM award in their last game v Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and the match commentator said he was a "bulldozer in Villa's midfield" and looks like he'd be ready to play another game tomorrow. Imagine adding him to Hibs midfield now - a Hibs midfield weakness that is glaring??? However, we sold him for lotsa money and that is part of the prob whether we like it or not - said it before that Hibs are a selling club that sells its top players and eventually go backwards after some kinda relative success. Then another manager picks up a new challenge and the team evolves through time and hopefully we find great new talent that will grace a Hibs jersey and the Hibs team will improve as well. Btw I acknowledge McGinn left the club to get away from such a poor footie league in Scotland and improve on a much higher stage in the English Premiership. Indeed we could well pick up poss £5M plus if John eventually transfers to a bigger club as I gather he is being monitored by a number of interested "big boys". My main point is that we can complain and criticise how Hibs perform in matches like this one but ultimately that is the way Hibs operate as a footie club. The interest from our point of view is just observing if Hibs can progress to a good level and, at the moment, they are in the top half of the Scot Prem in 4th place - better than last season. But we know there are some problem areas that need to be redressed. We'll discover how proactive Ron Gordon is in that regard. Ideally in Jan I'd like to see the manager shift certain players out and "free up wages" plus transfer in two or three players who could make a difference eg what is Jason Cummings doing these days?? Try to change the areas that are worth "tweaking".
