I won’t feel the least bit sorry for Allardyce and I doubt very much he’ll care that much anyway.

The problem is, it was Bilic who accumulated this side that lacks character, leaders and balls!

It was a Leeds performance that was very similar to their 3-0 win at Villa earlier on in the season. That game could've been 6 or 7 has Villa not rode their luck.

Power, pace, everyone piling forward, options. They blew us away the same as they did Villa.

Against Leeds you have to weather that early storm when they come out all guns blazing and then take advantage when they get tired later in the game. Not only did we fail to weather the storm, we gifted Leeds their opening goal with the terrible individual error and from then on it was curtains. We didn't know if we should stick or twist and they simply took us apart. But to be fair to Leeds, they did score some really good goals where as we couldn't even score when their goalkeeper passed it to Grady and he was clean through.

The reality is, our squad has little (if any) Premier League quality. Dowling and Bilic spent far too much time signing wingers and attacking players and neglected the spine of the team. I can't believe people are already slagging off Allardyce and praising Bilic when Bilic was the one who failed to identify we needed better full backs and legs in the middle of the park. I mean is it Allardyce's fault that we spent probably £40m in the summer on Pereira, Robinson, Grady and Grant and 3 of the 4 were operating at left wing last season?

What I would say is that I did expect Allardyce to hit the ground running more than he has. In his defence, I suppose he couldn't really change the team after the Man City and Liverpool games so only after this defeat will we really see what he truly believes is the best side. IMO we clearly need to be far more 'industrial' than what we are now to win some points. Essentially, we need to add Kipre and Ivanovic into the mix and move Ajayi and O'Shea into midfield and full back respectively. We need to be far more stubborn and make more of set plays. And I don't apologise for saying so because we haven't looked capable of scoring from open play all season. We simply don't have the quality or legs to get us up the pitch or create.

Just hope they have a couple of players already signed up to come in on Friday as well.

As poor as West Brom were, good to see Leeds getting some credit in all this. Our team always gets slaughtered after a performance like this (and rightly so) but some forget how well the opposition played. Personally, I think Leeds are a decent side that are good to watch, although the Baggies probably made them look like Champions League quality tonight.
I also get your point regarding Ajayi & O’Shea into midfield but imagine the uproar of another poor show with 2 defenders in central midfield. It would be carnage.

Apologies, mis read your post. Now see you think O’Shea should move to full back
