To me the point of supporting a club is to share in its successes and failures. It should matter to us and we should feel part of it.
For years now we've felt that whatever happened was being done both to us and the club itself. Dave Allen might as well have been in China as Apperknowle.
Cookie as manager disguised all that, because people identified with success, but the moment we knew he was going to leave, we realised we'd exchanged our football kit for the Emperor's new clothes. We became what we were all along, and though Danny Wilson managed to plug the hole in the dyke for a season we were soon drowning again. Bad decisions make bad times and bad times make bad decisions.
If these are words that leave the page then they equal real hope and yes a model for other smaller clubs. Yes Dancing you are so right, the future isn't likely to bring us ups without any downs. To really know how to win, you also have to know how to lose.
