There was no way on earth he was going to head it but the way it was coming down into Shilt's bread basket there was only one way he was going to get to it first. Not a case of how tall Shilts was, Shilts would have caught that without jumping. He was already in the air but by no means jumping as high as he could. Even with short arms, your elbow is about level with the top of your head with your arms up - so add a foot to that and however high you can jump.

When you're already a foot or two of the ground - try jumping another foot higher - if you can do it, you can probably walk on water and feed a few thousand with a handful of fish butties too. The bad news is, you'll be attending woodwork class just before Easter.
