I think this will be the statement on the 16th when we do not get Grant and end up just getting Gray on loan.
Fulham and Leeds have developed their squads since promotion, we have stood still and will be isolated at the bottom of the league by Christmas.....if I was Slavan I would walk away.
Well Slav has said repeatedly that Krovinovic was his number 1 target and he was signed.
So in some ways, he has to take some blame for this mess given that we have about 5 players who can play the number 10 role, this wasn't a priority position.
But of course this blame is minimal in comparison to Dowling and Lai. Lai is just another penny pincher in it to milk the cash while Dowling knew the budgets from the start, so should've spent accordingly. Diangana was a fantastic signing and I was ecstatic when we signed him, but if this was all the budget we had he should've tried to negotiate another loan and then repositioned the rest of the money elsewhere.
I really can't believe we have so many attacking midfielders at the club yet only have 1 right back, no proper sitting midfielder who is good enough at this level, no proper number 9 who is good enough at this level. The balance of the squad is so heavily weighted on luxury players and these muppets didn't see it coming that we were going to be a soft touch.
