With a new prediction league to begin shortly, I have a few comments to make which I hope won't be blasted by a few members.

With it being a prediction league it means to get the correct results, therefore:

1. Deduct 1pt for a game wrong prediction.

2. Also to Reduce the game ball correct score from 10pts to 8pts or less (Being mostly luck than prediction), and the Wrong one to 3pts not 5pts . Reason being the average score per player is 6pts approx for the week, so 10pts that's almost two weeks results.

EG a player could get 9 out 10 games right - 18pts - game ball wrong (5pts) = 13pts for week
     a player could get 9 out of 10 wrong and get the game ball right (10pts)  = 10pts for week

Do you see my point, its not favouring the true predicters, so deducting 1pt will be just for predicting wrong, as is the game ball when average weekly scores are 6'ish.

Also increase the games to 15 not 10 and make it more interesting.

We used to have a one point deduction for getting it wrong, it was removed a couple of seasons ago.  We can play around with the scoring year after year but in my opinion the last changes that were made saw the difference between top and bottom close and made the leagues more interesting.  The Gamball is a gamble that each player needs to decide upon, it rewards those who take the risk if they get it right but like any gamble there is a penalty for getting it wrong.  Btw, the incorrect Gamball already is only -3 already, no need to change that.  Looking at the final table, Bomber was one of the most consistent predictors, making changes for changes sake would probably still produce the same result.

 Your thoughts are all valid, however I would still like to see a point deducted for a wrong prediction - after all this is what it is all about - predicting correctly.
