IMO any HC/Manager worth his salt will want and should have his own coaches/assistants in. Doing otherwise is a lot like electing a Labour PM but keeping (possibly far right) Tory ministers working for him.
They've all got to have the same thoughts about many issues, and to expect long standing coaches to keep adapting to different ideas as the main man keeps changing - well, it just ain't going to work is it?
One thing I'd like to question though is the apparent assumption (still) that there was/is a 'clique' amongst the senior players, and the coaches were too pally with them, making things too easy.
Seems to be a commonly held thought but I've no idea where this comes from or if there's ever been any evidence of this.....apart from one reference to something like that from Pete Oh De Wanker in one of his many rants. If he was saying that then there MUST be some truth in it, right?
Anyway - good move to clear the decks and bring in all TP's chaps.
