And so the season comes down to this, a nerve wrecking, emotional roller coaster of a play-off between an in-form Snooty, looking to gain what looked like an impossible promotion just 5 weeks ago, and a haplessly out of form St Charles Owl who somehow avoided automatic relegation depriving Zinman of his rightful place in the Premiership. Would we see a nervous, tight run fight between these 2 giants of the prediction league? Would there be a last minute twist with the failure of a key piece of technology controversially affecting the result?
Er, no.
SCO just happened to have one of his best ever weeks to win the play-off by a massive 16 points. A correct gamball result, 3 correct scores one of which was his bonus catapulted him to 23 points to retain his premier League spot. Snooty had clearly enjoyed the pressure being off him as he chased the other play-off contenders but in a one-off match he crumbled with just 1 correct score and 3 correct results, so he'll remain in the Championship where he'll face the added challenge of the mighty Zin (and the lesser challenge of Beefy) next year.
