Shame he played for englandshire Laugh Wink , but despite that definitely one of the good guys. I had the pleasure of hearing him speak at a function many years back and he was a great storyteller and very, very funny.

Never forgot his roots and what his family had to do for a living, hated fascist scum and always backed solidarity. I admired him very much.

Coincidentally in the lockdown boredom I've been listening to the Italia 90 World Cup podcast and his team were a big part of that. Some amazing stories!!
