Apparently, if the league had started after Rooney went to Derby, they would be top of the league.
At Championship level Rooney is a class above virtually every other player. He could still be in the PL and be effective. The hard part for Derby is getting the other players to be able to take advantage of that by spotting the pass or making the runs to get the best out of Rooney.
