Our problem is that we need to give the old laptop a bit of notice. It's as slow as a Mick Wadsworth press conference.
I've still got an old clunker like that in reserve, just in case. Much to my amazement it installed Windows 10 (it took a while) and ran OK as it had been on Windows 7 since "birth". It didn't (couldn't) slow it down any more but it didn't turn the old tortoise into a hare either. There were times when I was typing two rows in front of what was appearing on the screen with that one and I'm at best a 4 finger (ty)pist artist. All down to a deathly slow main microprocessor clock speed. Bugger all to do with how much RAM, Hard Drive space or any other bells and whistles they put on them.
