I've seen a lot of Albion fans suggesting Defoe, Crouch or Lambert as replacements, look at what Swansea and Southampton do when they sell one of their star players - they sign a Wilfried Bony or a Dusan Tadic who are quality players and when they inevitably sell these players they will be getting another £20m+. Defoe or Lambert would be good for a season or so and would guarantee goals, but if we want to get back to being a comfortable midtable side we have to look at the bigger picture and make signings for the future who have resale value and can help us grow as a club.
Not sure about Lambert 96.
Last time out when he came on as a sub for England, he didn't look fit or particularly quick.
