Please accept my sincere condolences Josh. I haven't been on the site for a few days so have only just seen this.
Stay strong young man, time does heal but you will never forget the memories that you have of her.
I lost my own mother nearly 40 years ago; she was barely 61 years of age. For a while everything just feels numb but, time heals eventually.
At least it seems that some good has resulted if your fractured family are after all those years beginning to come back together.
