100% agreed Snoots. Yes, football clubs employ way more than the 20 or so folk on the pitch and in the 'dug-out' every Saturday (not sure some folk realise this though) but the folk Levy has put on furlough probably account for less than 20%, maybe less than 10% of the Spurs wage bill, even if there are hundreds of them. He probably pays a couple of players more per week than he pays out in wages to many of those staff put together.
It's there to support SME's but there are plenty of bigger companies with zillions in the bank (if it isn't squirrelled away in a Cayman Islands Bank Account) who are doing the same thing.
We've put a load of folk on it this week, but at least the company is topping up the other 20% for those who will be getting a lot less than the max £2500 per month and also to a good few that will get that amount. Our directors have all agreed to a pay cut too. Some of them have also been put on furlough if their dept. has effectively all gone onto it.
Meanwhile, I get sent to Coventry everyday (more or less).
