For those to young to remember the the Pools Panel used to be constituted when a certain number of games where cancelled due to bad weather and they would make a decision what they thought the score would have been for the purpose of paying on the football pools. Probably no practical and a long way from ideal but better than declaring the season null and void.
Remember it well certainly not for me , if you compare the panel results against the actual results they were not very good. Or put another way how often do any of us get the results right on the predictors. Whatever happens it’s up to the powers to be but the season could well be annulled if this virus goes on beyond June. Anyway all stay safe in these trying times.
