Hibs v Hertz: Tues 3 March, KO 7.45pm
#4
My 1st question is, "Were Hertz really that good"???????? Even though Hibs didn't "show up" last night, one must assess all the goals and every one of the goals Hibs lost v a crap, one-dimensional Hertz team, were absolutely avoidable! They were crap - mispasses, long overhit passes etc etc but WE WERE CRAPPER and on par with Rangers recent rank rotten performance at the PBH!!!!! Note Hertz away record since Nov 2018 - WON 5 AWAY GAMES AND THREE OF THEM WERE V HIBS AT ER STADIUM - A SHOCKER!!! The crucial 1st goal was a f##### irresponsible act by Scott Allan. Listening to Cris Sutton later on, on BT Sport, and he scathingly commented, "What is Allan thinking about putting his hand up like that? Absolutely daft and needless"!! SPOT ON CRIS!! The crucial 1st goal negligently given away by an unthinking f###### idiot who shouldn't have been in that position!!! The 2nd goal lacked any leadership or control by our so called captain to say "COOL IT" to Jackson before he took that stupid free kick to give the ball away so cheaply in mid traffic. You place the ball down and usher all forwards up to the edge of their pen box before taking the FK as well as simultaneously slowing down the pace of the game - HE DIDN'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!! The 3rd goal was Hanlon's misjudgement but I still think the lad was offside based on my view from the West Stand. WHAT A F### UP and he needlessly gave the lad a free run on Rocky's goal!!! All the pressure was on them and the majority of our guys bizarrely didn't show up. Why??? It was the same even after HT!!! What happened to Ross's team talk??? This match was one of the worst capitulations by a Hibs team that I've seen in decades and I do regard it as a tad suspicious!!! Hibs definitely have "form" in this regard and they have done it again. Do remember during "relegation year" there was a similar scenario at the PBH when Hibs could relegate them and the players "bottled it", shamelessly walked over to the Hibs fans at the end of the match and deservedly were given "laldy" for a similar capitulation and some Hibs scarves thrown at them in utter disgust - DIDNAE HAVE THE STOMACH TO RELEGATE THEM EH AND PARTICK THISTLE DID IT TO THEM IN THEIR NEXT GAME!!! But we have a different group of players now. So I ultimately question WHY??? As for McNulty, he was useless last night, "off the pace" of a derby match (not the only player!!) and he will be suspended for that stamp. That gives Jamie Gullan a chance to show what he can do alongside Doidge but McNulty will lose "game time" as he is still not fully match fit. Btw Halkett should've been red-carded (2nd yellow) as well when the score was 0-1 and another SFA ref, Clancy, failed to issue it. The COWARD shouts from the West Stand were so telling - a f###### joke but I notice Hertz have been given highly questionable ref decisions since the Hamilton match at the PBH, a game that the Accies should've won but were "done" by a ref red card decision where, later on, the card was rescinded!!! Thumb down It is AFC next at Pittodrie and Hibs need to regroup very quickly - it is still a potential 6 pointer!! They have lost McKenna and that is a big blow to their defence but my next question is, "Will Hibs show up and display some kinda anger and pride re such a pitiful loss last night"???? We can only wait n see but I'm sure changes are inevitable and Scott Allan is number one on my "hit list" but there are other Hibs players whose "coats are on shoogly pegs" after this disgraceful capitulation v a fairly average Hertz team!!! Ultimately we need to improve that defence asap - been debating this issue for far too long and need to redress it!!
