Old Grey Whistle Test. The name apparently comes from the saying that if the old grey haired janitor at the theatre is whistling the big tune from the musical at the end of the night, it would be a hit. Hence the old, grey, whistle test.
Never heard Budgie before. Sounds pretty good actually. Thumb up
Apart from Adam Faith, the only other Budgie I'd have known was with Siouxsie and the Banshees. Or Joey the budgie from Carry On At Your Convenience.
