As I have previously said, he'd make a great second/assistant to the new guy. And he'd be grateful. Plus JP wouldn't have to pay out the rest of his contract.

Sorry BBB but no, no and thrice no.
I've not seen any improvement in our coaching since Irvine was there, for all his reputation IMO maybe teaching the kids basics, but not when it comes to competitive top level football.
And if the players aren't gelling then it's down to coaching again, get an understanding in training or at least work on it on the training ground.
While I do wish Irvine all the best in whatever it turns out to be he does, it can't be far enough away from us for me IMO
