The only saving grace last night it was only four, City could quite easily have doubled their score, there were some excuses to be made given we had only one fit full back, therefore the unfortunate Ryan Ledson was up against the Polish flying machine, to say Hull had some joy down their left flank was an understatement although to be fair to Ledson Bodin didn't help him either by tracking back.
We started well Rafu(Rafferty) hit a post and Barkhuizen the fastest thing on two legs was causing the home defence, however this superioity didn't last long, Ledson lack of expertise in the full back position was soon exposed and wave of City attacks came down the flank, it was a surprise that we managed to last out until the 30th minute,
The opener did have a little bit of fortune, Grosicki for the umpteenth time advanced on goal his cross hit Rafferty in the gonads, the rebound wrong footed Rudd and Bowen managed to adjust his feet and he scored just as the ball was about to go out of play.
Grosicki fired one narrowly wide and Magennis had an over head effort well saved by Rudd, who hit had to be said kept us in the game.A Bowen shot was semi saved and luckily for us the ball stopped rolling as it was going in beffore whacked to safety.

We could have been level having an effort cleared from the line and getting to the break one down was probably a good achievement.
The start of the second half summed up our evening a golden chance to level at the start, Bodin fresh aired a shot from the edge of the box and within 20 seconds Ledson now at left back had brought down a City forwrd penalty, Magennis did the rest although Rudd did go the right way. Ledson exposed again two minutes later ball flicked through to Grosicki 3-0 game over.

Affter that it was shot after shot at our goal luckily none went in, our attacks were infrequent and following one aimless punt forward, the guy a couple of rows in front of me yelled out, "There's no one there" and he was bob on with that.
A fourth goal arrived down the right wing were our top scorer Johnson was now playing left back, Bowen advanced on goal and fired past Rudd at his near post put it down to poor postioning, They had chances to increase that missed them all whilst we hit the post through Harrop with Barkhizen having te follow up saved by Long.
First time I've ever lost there the game reminded me of Birmingham away last season a night to forget although for the first time since the early 1960's did cross the Boothferry Bridge on the way home the joys of Motorway closures
Hull City boss Grant McCann told BBC Radio Humberside:
It's probably our most compete performance of the season. We've had games where seven or eight of the team has performed and we've won.
Tonight, one to 11 every single one of them were outstanding. We were probably hurting a little bit from the first half showing at Middlesbrough.
We took that into tonight and started well on the front foot. We were disappointed that we didn't come in with at least a two-nil lead.
Preston North End manager Alex Neil:
"To start with, we had players playing out of position. We have got one fit full-back at the club. We are missing a left-sided centre-back and, naturally, the defence is weakened because of that.
"It was one of them ones where we came up against a team where their best players are their wide players and all my full-backs are missing, so I knew it was going to be difficult.
"Their forward players we struggled to deal with and I thought they were ruthless when they got into good positions."
