Back to back home games signal Albion's return to the promotion chase, with both opponents tough customers.  First up on Saturday we host Sheffield Wednesday, who held us to a hard-fought draw in both of last season's encounters, and remain just outside the playoffs so far this year.  Though a likely points deduction by the EFL - perhaps even heavier than the 9 taken from Birmingham in March - will certainly push them down the ladder, Wednesday remain a capable side with three away wins under their belt this campaign, and all the more reason to scrap for points in the face of uncertainty.

For Bristol City the situation is much clearer: with a foot already in the playoffs, and coming to the Hawthorns off the back of an away win at Cardiff, there's every reason to go for broke and consolidate their position.  Last season's encounter coincided with our best run under Big Dave, and resulted in a convincing 4-2 Albion win; it'll take some hard work and inspiration to replicate that next Wednesday.

Thanks for posting that picture, Ska'ad. If my memory serves me right, that was Hillsborough 3rd round of the Cup in about 1970. I was standing right behind that in the Leppings Lane end, as Bomber hit the most unbelievable half volley I can remember - he hit it on the run as the ball dropped over his shoulder from an aimless punt by Dick Kryzwicki (I think). If that is an entirely different picture, then I'm completely wrong but it was a great memory anyway
