Irvine made mistakes yesterday, the main one being starting Morrison as a holding midfielder again but he can't be blamed for players making basic mistakes. He can spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week coaching and motivating the players but if the players make basic mistakes that 10 year olds don't make on Saturday mornings, then it isn't fault, it is the fault of the players making the mistakes.

• Lescott being unable to play a simple 10 yard pass to Morrison is Lescott's fault.
  
  
• Berahino being unable to score 2 great chances is Berahino's fault.
  
  
• Varela missing a golden chance to score is Varela's fault.
  
  
• Morrison bear hugging one of QPR's players last week is Morrison's fault.
  
  
• Foster being unable to catch the ball is Foster's fault. If you want to blame someone other than Foster for his mistake then blame Kiely for it because he is the guy that coaches the goalkeepers.
  

As for Irvine's post match interview, we did start well. We were moving the ball about nicely before Foster made his mistake which knocked us out of our stride. We also made some great chances which Berahino and Varela wasted.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Josh.  Unfortunately you’re wasting your breath mate because too many people don’t want to admit it might be anybody’s fault other than Irvine’s.  We’re not getting results so the easiest person to point the finger at is Irvine.  
Irvine, like all of us has faults and has made mistakes- no-one is denying that, but he cannot be accountable for how a player plays on the day or how a ref decides to call the shots.  I’m sick to death of hearing about Irvine’s failing and can’t wait to see what his mystical replacement’s going to bring to the table.  The Premier League is a tough place to be in.  In the past you could predict fairly easily who would beat who, or who would probably be relegated but that isn’t the case today.  So, just for the record – I like Irvine’s total commitment to his role as our Coach and truly hope he can help the players turn things around.
