I think too much is being read into this. Bilic knew how the club operates when agreed to join. All he can do is keep the pressure on Dowling and co because ultimately all this is their responsibility. They’re here to identify and sign the players that Bilic wants.

He won’t quit because that’ll be a terrible look for him. He also said in his first press conference that it’s a two year project. That means there will be some budget restrictions to make sure there’s cover if we don’t get promoted.
