I hadn't realized before he'd effectively done the same with his move from Palace to Birmingham so at least DC or his advisors were on the ball by having a release clause.  A lot of stuff posted but without much hard fact but I wonder initially if the Toon were told it would only cost them $1m not realizing that that figure only applied to another championship club poaching and it was much more if Premier (and rightly so).  
No idea who I'd want for a new manager now but I hope its an up and coming one and not a 'name' dinosaur.  Timing sucks but this is SWFC
