"Reports in the German media suggest Labbadia prepared to talk to his old club Hamburger SV to see what they have to say. They are in a similar crisis situation. He's apparently turned down 2 offers from China. He's due to return to Germany next weekend from his last tour with the Wolfsburg team in China, after which talks with Hamburger SV could take place. The report suggests he's happy to wait for the right challenge. The report quotes Sky Sports saying also talks with Albion planned."
I’ll be surprised if Labbadia goes back to Hamburg. He’ll be mad to in my opinion.
He’s been there twice and been sacked twice. First time was in 2010 after only 9 months in charge and then he went back to the club in 2015, saved them from relegation in the play-off and then took them up to 10th in the following season. They sacked him after 5 matches into the new season and that season they only just escaped relegation on the last day of the season. Then they were relegated the season after that and this season they failed to get promoted. Their final downfall started with that sacking in September 2016.
