Darren did a good job, apart from his loyalty to Jones - that IMO cost him in the end.
Sad that promotion while reducing wage bill and creating a transfer surplus was his remit.
Proud man DM and Jenkins had him in the palm of his hand. I was probably his biggest critic, but boy did I have respect for the guy.
For us the supporters it was all about the team rebuild and introduction of academy players over a 2-3 year period IMO not Promo in his first season.
Potter was to expensive now and with DA at Brighton it was a more attractive opportunity. Understandable.
Jenkins and Dowling have not figured it out yet - a good manager can create millions of pounds for a club but they do cost money
While they are in charge we will continue to fall from grace whilst being run on a shoestring
