Czech player Josef Sural has died in a motor accident on the way back from a match in Turkey. He and six other players from Aytemiz Alanyaspor rented a VIP minibus to take them home after an away match. The second driver was asleep at the time and the actual driver of the minibus fell asleep and crashed. The six other players were taken to hospital but are not in critical condition.

Sural was only 28.
