First of all huge credit to the 428 Ipswich fans who made the marathon journey to watch a side already relegated get a hammering at a sun drenched Deepdale, we got four probably should have doubled that but the four game losing run is over.
Rafferty made his first start at right back with Fisher moving to left back, Browne as I thought would be left out as he is clearly far from fit. Young O'Reilly was on the bench.
It didn't take long for us to take the lead Robinson firing hom a bueat from just outside the box.
Nmecha could have made it two but was denied by a great late tackle by Nsala, from the resulting corner Davies's header hit the post, wasn't long until the second went in, Rafferty cross ball headed up into the air, control then shot by Robinson and lead doubled
Nmecha missed another good chance before Town exerted a modicum of pressure, the always useful Judge caused us a few problems aided by Bishop forced Rudd into a decent save.
North End should have gone further ahead Robinson shot saved by Bialkowski ball rebounded to Nmecha on headed towards the empty goal only to see the Polish keeper pull off a brilliant save.
On the strok of half time Chambers forced Rudd into a good save with a header from a corner.
Slow start to the second half until Maguire got down the left fed Robinson shot parried and Nmecha finally scored.
Town should have reduced the arrears after Rudd and Davies collided but couldn't get the ball quick enough and when the shot came it hit the underside of the bar and was cleared to safety.
The fourth soon arrived Robinson found Nmecha in tons of space didn't miss and then Stockley was denied late on by Bialkowski after unselfish work by Moult.
No alarms at the other end as easy as you like on to the Estadio de Pie on Monday and if it is not hammering down next Saturday that is my last home game of the season
Ipswich Town manager Paul Lambert told BBC Radio Suffolk:
"We were really, really poor. We got what we deserved. That's the worst game we've had since we came [into the club].
"They [the players] know my feelings. You can't play the game of football if you're going stand off people and not make a challenge.
"We were outplayed in every aspect today. I'm not going to stand here and sugar-coat it. That [style of defeat] won't happen again."

Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
