Player power ....... players cost millions, dislike the boss or his style, don't perform, who gets the blame, not them they cost to much, managers two a penny, get rid, get in a replacement, pay compensation, that costs less, move on.

 It looks like you are right on all counts 4evaabaggie , the latest being a player not coming off to be replaced when the Manager wanted it. Though I don't know what happened after that to the player.
