In December I posted about FC Nürnberg’s protests on a thread about us protesting the football league. Well tonight Nürnberg have struck again.
Tonight they are playing at home to Dortmund (0-0 half-time) and as expected another protest has happened. This time it’s more brash than last time. The ultras are wearing all black, some in bin bags, and are holding black cut-out signs that have a white fist with the middle finger up and chants of “Scheiß DfB” and signs in Germany and English against Monday night football. At Dortmund’s 2 corners in front of the ultras, the ultras chucked black tennis balls onto the pitch to stop play and then chanted “Scheiß DfB” as the balls were being cleared by the players.
I’m actually going to Nürnberg in 9 days for 5 nights (have had it planned for about six months and have always wanted to go) and whilst there I’ll be attending the stadium to watch the home game against RB Leipzig. I hope this behaviour doesn’t mean a ban for the ultras because I’m looking forward to seeing how they are with the black sheep of German football, RB Leipzig.
