Seems they hit the post a few times today towards the end. A couple of weeks ago they would have gone in.

No, of course you don't have to eat humble pie. He's snaffled a few results. We needed that. We've given him a three-year contract so he needs to keep this going (and I was thrilled with a win and clean sheet at Fylde) and keep us in this division. THEN next season or the one after his job is to drag us screaming and kicking back into the EFL. If he does that I'll give you half my Desperate-Dan sized humble pie to share.

Currently our most promising youngsters are out in the cold, Lincoln's and Newcastle's are in the team and Cardiff's is on the bench. Our wily centre forward is aged 103 and our major hope for goals is a bloke who has come back to us for a re-tread after years away.

For the last two seasons I've noticed funny results appearing for those near play-off places at this point. Last season Macclesfield went on a winning run and pulled right away from the rest who started to struggle. Teams near the top are not necessarily the hardest to beat now. Havant losing in midweek would be good and Boreham Wood could be pulled into the relegation zone if they don't find their form.
