I'm afraid I'm now a dinosaur. Managers seem to set up teams with no concept how they will score goals or stop them. On Saturday our most likely goalscorers were Evans at Centre Back and Smith deployed defensively in midfield. The one player further forward who might have got a goal, Kiwomya, was set up against a brick wall. It's bizarre, but it is quite commonplace nowadays in football.

From memory those strange structures at either end of the pitch are called goals. If you just remember your team is protecting one and attacking the other you are beginning to get to grips with the game. Isn't that what is supposed to be happening, whether you are playing Brackley or Barcelona?
