Is the owner using WBA money to prop up other Business interests?
We can hardly be accused of splashing the cash on new players and our existing squad are theoretically on half wages, so what the hell is going on?
Have other forms of income (season tickets, shirt sales, ) seen a dramatic drop in income?
I am beginning to think that Jeremy made a serious misjudgement when vetting our present owner.

I don't have the statistics to hand and the situation in the championship won't be the same as the premier league, but I'm fairly certain that ticket and shirts sales make up a small part of any football club's budget nowadays, and you probably couldn't fund much from them alone. Have to agree that i'm not convinced about the owner though. Still think our current position is reasonable considering how dire we looked for so much of last season.
Sorry Baird, it’s the complete opposite of what you say!! Ticket and commercial revenue are by far the biggest revenue generator that clubs have in the Championship!! Our revenue last year was 24m, 16m of which came from ticket sales. The tv money down here I believe is approx 2-3m per season. The only teams where tv money is higher than ticket sales are the teams relegated from the PL and getting parachute payments. You guys won’t be in this situation for another two seasons because of those payments, after that you are reliant on the fans to generate revenue even with a wealthy owner!!
