The real sadness is we should still be talking about Will Evans.
I've scored a goal. In fact I did once score five in a game. I've played in goal and wasn't too bad on saving penalties. But not only haven't I, at a much lower grade, never achieved anything like Will Evans did on Saturday, but also I've never heard of anyone grabbing a 95th minute equalising goal in a 3-3 draw clawed back from 0-3 down, and moments later being forced to substitute in goal and saving a last second penalty (from a bloke who has already scored one past the real keeper).
There is hero time and then there is big Will.
I've always liked the idea of a defender who can get his name on the score sheet several times a season, but we've got a real bloke as MA would say with guts to spare, who kept cool and kept thinking in a crisis. Along with our Hall of Legends we should have legendary moments of sheer brilliance ......... and this is one to be viewed up there with Rodney Fern taking Sheffield Wednesday apart.
