Maddix, I think you are right when you say its not his fault. The way he plays is how he has to play for the team or we wouldn't create anything at all. Pelupessy is a decent holding midfielder, but he shows absolutely no ability to get forward at all, and essentially just looks to play a short pass to Bannan. This means Bannan is way too deep when he gets the ball and any good run he goes on ends in a tackle or a pass way before he creates any danger. We need a proper holding midfielder who can run with the ball, can make a long pass and can break up opponents play. That would allow Bannan to get further forward and as we saw from his goal he is at his best when running at a defence on the edge of their box.
