Lawwell to reject match tickets for Ibronx on safety grounds?
#1
I hope Peter Lawwell actually does this even though it is better to have 800 away fans backing the team rather than none at all and, more importantly, it is good for our game and the match atmosphere to have a balanced mix of home and away fans. Why back Lawwell's rejection? Because it will highlight a festering problem with Rangers and their fans which is negative and centres on sectarianism, antagonism and violence that is unacceptable in the Scottish game and should not be "swept under the carpet" as has been the case for too long because it is Rangers FC but they are a serial offender!! This why I think the SFA, and possibly SP officials, finally get involved in this issue which was actually created by Rangers FC and IMO the footie authorities should've blocked this proposal for the integrity of the game. Again the SFA were found "wanting" instead of being proactive and imposing a new rule that covers match attendances with proper set limits (proportionate to the crowd capacity of the stadium) to accommodate away fans and protect the integrity of the sport rather than have any football club damaging it in this way!!
