Leeds will have no fear coming into this one, and Big Dave will come under a lot of pressure if we don’t get at least a point. We’ve got some decent players, and we can score goals, there’s no question about that, but a fragile midfield and, even worse, mystifyingly sticking to three at the back against all the evidence will be Dave’s undoing. There’s no excuse whatsoever for some of the defeats we’ve suffered.
If he plays three at the back again today and we lose, I for one won’t stick up for him any more.
As I was saying, this was always a nailed-on win for Albion against a Leeds team who didn’t fancy their chances, and Big Dave has cracked it.
