Half the stuff which has happened you couldn't have made up, it's something from a mockumentary or a comedy.

Albeit on a different scale, and much different starting point, the recent goings on at Newcastle could be a story that goes a similar way if Ashley doesn't sell and continues to not invest in the team. Difference is he does have the money to suddenly pump in 100m if he needed to but he is basically letting the club stagnate and just exist.
I think what York City and ourselves have gone through in the last few years has been off the scale. When you see Manchester United fans or even Arsenal fans moaning about their club they've got no idea.
Newcastle has a lot of potential to be a top 4-6 club just needs the investment.
Completely agree about the Top 6 clubs fans talking of disasters or similar events because they might not make it to the Champions League. The Newcastle situation though is different to yours because of their starting position. Dropping two relegations from the PL to League 1 has been done a number of times and while it may hurt, sooner or later the so called bigger clubs will get it right and they will begin the climb back. But I suppose I am comparing the lack of good ownership and the apparent total disdain for the club or the fans, and in Ashley and Allen you have two owners who are seemingly deliberately harming the very club they own!! I suppose you are now one of the bigger clubs in the NL, but this gives you little advantage at the level you are in, so as you say another drop and it could be curtains for the club.
