SGB, you are allowed to ramble on, it's an age-thing. I'm just naturally concise and if you believe that ........ well take care!
DA as the anti-Christ? I think we should let St Charles Owl judge that one. You'd never find a more reasonable Owl than him. Most of their fans can't complete a sentence beginning, "My opinion of Dave Allen is ......" without lapsing into expletives and frothing at the mouth.
I'll be interested to read your opinions on yesterday. It seems noticeable to me that Nelson would be in MA's team even if he'd a broken leg and two ACLs. If that is the case I can't understand why he isn't captain. The other noticeable feature is we have a team full of players who don't score many goals. At this long range, it doesn't seem surprising we keep coming up with 0.
I do think MA is making plenty of mistakes, but managers who don't make mistakes rarely do anything excellent either. The real problem has to be that it is difficult to build a winning team when behind the scenes the club has a regime of chaos imposed upon it by DA's influence. MA may bravely say that he is receiving the support he needs, but how else can he protect and enthuse his players? He can't look and sound like a wimp, and to be fair he doesn't, but he can't be happy with the position he's inherited.
Lots of business men succeed simply because they are the nastiest piece of work on the block. Psychopaths and sociopaths rise to the top, just because they will trample on their friends and punch anyone who stands in their way straight in the face. They never accept blame. Remind you of anyone? DA will act in what he perceives to be his own selfish interest - if that happens to coincide with CFC's interest then fine, but any other agenda which favours him can never be off the cards.
